Questions About Nudism


First things first, we want you to know it is ok to have questions about nudism! Asking questions is always a healthy way to learn more about any subject. While some kids take to nudism, no questions asked. Others find it a bit strange or weird. We put togeter a list of common questions to help you learn more about nudism.

What if I've never seen a naked boy or girl before?


Fair question! Some people are nervous about being seen by a boy/girl for the first time, while others are curious to see what the big deal is all about. After the intial introduction the nervousness and curiosity fade into playing games and having fun.

What if I see someone I know from school?


It might feel a little awkward at first, but remember they are naked too! You don’t have to treat them any differently—just be yourself!

What's it like getting naked in front of strangers?


No, you don’t! Being a nudist is just one part of who you are. If you don’t want to talk about it, you don’t have to. Just enjoy the activities, and if someone asks, you can simply explain when you feel like it.

What if my friends find out I'm a nudist and think it’s weird?


Nudism is something that some people do, and it’s okay if others don’t understand right away. If you ever feel like sharing, you can explain that it’s just a way to feel natural and free. Also, everyone is weird in their own way and a good friend will like you no matter what!

Can I wear a swimsuit instead of being naked?


No. When it comes to children most clubs and resorts have a very flexible policy of allowing children to decided whether to be naked or not, but the pool is a no clothing zone for all

Is being naked bad or wrong?


Not at all! Being naked is a natural part of life. Nudism helps us see that bodies are nothing to be ashamed of—they’re amazing and help us do so many things!

Why do families practice nudism?


Nudism is about feeling free, comfortable, and happy just the way we are. It’s a way to enjoy life without worrying about clothes and to celebrate how unique and special our bodies are. Once you get comfortable with nudism you may no longer notice you are naked at all!

Why don’t all families practice nudism?


Everyone has different ways of living that make them feel comfortable and happy. Some people like wearing clothes all the time, and that’s okay. Other families enjoy nudism because it helps them feel comfortable. Some families may have a relaxed policy about nudity at home while not identifying as nudist.

What if someone makes fun of me for being a nudist?


Being a nudist is just one part of who you are, and it’s something you can feel proud of. If someone doesn’t understand, you can explain a little about it or just let them know it’s something your family enjoys.

If someone is every making you feel unsafe because of who you are, no matter what the reason, talk to a trusted adult!

Can I tell my friends about being a nudist?


You can, but it’s always a good idea to talk with your parents first. Not everyone understands nudism, and you want to share it in a way that helps others see it as something you love!

Is it weird for adults and kids do nudism together?


Not at all! Nudism is about families being together and having fun without worrying about clothes. It’s a way to show that all bodies are special and that we can respect and care for each other. In many cultures around the world, being naked in a sauna, etc.

Is nudism safe?


Some people think nudism is dangerous because other people can see your entire body. But the truth is nudism is safe because you are with people you trust, like family or close friends. Always remember, your body belongs to you and nudism is about being comfortable with your body if anything ever feels weird or wrong no matter where you are, talk with a trusted adult!

What if I don’t look like everyone else?


Everyone’s body is different, and that’s okay! Nudism is about accepting and loving yourself as you are and accepting others as they are. No one will judge you, and you’ll see that everyone has unique qualities. You will see bodies of all ages, colors, sizes, and shapes.

Trying nudism is like jumping into a cold pool. You may hesitate to get in, but once you do you'll realize the thing you feared is what feels best.
